Salvage of the “Argo” at Renmark
Renmark, South Australia
Vessel salvage

Professional Diving Services completed the salvage of the historic barge “Argo” from the Murray River at Renmark, Vic for Baldwin Boats. Divers attached lift bags to the vessel and raised it to the surface from 10m depth, where the water was pumped from the vessel and removed from the water. The 120ft long “Argo” was built in 1915 and originally used as a pumping station. After over 100 years of service and restorations it sunk in 2019. After it was salvaged, the “Argo” was relocated to the Olivewood Historic Homestead and Museum where it currently resides.
