McKay Power Station Project
McKay Power Station, Falls Creek, VIC

Professional Diving Services completed works within the McKay Power Station at the top of Falls Creek in Victoria for AGL. An initial ROV survey of the rock trap identified the rock trap was full and a method using divers was developed to dredge and remove the material. Divers entered the 60m tunnel and were craned 85m down the vertical surge shaft to access the rock trap. PDS designed, manufactured, and tested a method to remove the rocks from the shaft. The dive works were completed at an elevation of 1600m above sea level. PDS have since been involved the AGL to maintain the asset with regular and ongoing surveys and ROV inspections for AGL.
