Professional Diving Services in conjunction with Fitzgerald Constructions completed the pile rehabilitation of 106 timber piles at Central Pier, Docklands, Melbourne. This followed survey works of over 1600 timber piles to identify piles required for structural repair and drill testing of 500 timber piles and beams to investigate termite infestation. Pile repairs included pile splices with epoxy encapsulation of the splice joint at seabed and pile epoxy encapsulation of entire depleted pile sections. In total 60 pile splices and 46 epoxy encasements were completed.
